NAPERVILLE – To help students start the school year prepared for success, State Senator Laura Ellman is partnering with People’s Resource Center to host a district-wide school supply drive throughout the month of July.
“Every child deserves to begin the school year with the tools they need to learn, grow and thrive,” said Ellman (D-Naperville). “As families continue to face rising costs, even small donations can make a meaningful difference. I encourage community members to join us in helping ensure every student starts the school year ready to succeed.”
The drive will collect new school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, pens and other classroom essentials to support local students and families ahead of the upcoming school year.
Donations can be dropped off throughout July at the following locations:
- Helen Plum Library, 411 S. Main St., Lombard
- Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 Finley Rd., Lombard
- Madison Meadow Recreation Center, 500 E. Wilson Ave., Lombard
- Senator Ellman’s district office, 24W500 Maple Ave., Suite 215, Naperville
